Product recommendations, now in checkout
Also Bought now supports a checkout extension that allows eligible merchants to display product recommendations before customers proceed to payment.
This creates an additional opportunity to suggest relevant products at a key moment in the buying journey, when customers are already reviewing their order and preparing to complete the purchase.
The extension can be added from Shopify's checkout and accounts editor in stores that have access to advanced checkout customization features. Merchants can customize basic options such as the block title, the add-to-cart button text, and the maximum number of recommendations displayed.
This makes it easier to bring Also Bought recommendations into the checkout experience while keeping control over how they appear to customers. Availability depends on Shopify's checkout customization permissions for each store.

New image behavior for unchecked products in Frequently Bought Together
Frequently Bought Together now gives merchants more control over how product images behave when customers uncheck items in a bundle.
New cryptocurrencies added to Currency Converter Plus
Currency Converter Plus now includes support for several additional cryptocurrencies, expanding the range of digital currencies that merchants can display in their stores.
This makes it easier for merchants to offer price visibility in more digital currencies, especially for customers who are familiar with or interested in crypto-based pricing.
The newly added cryptocurrencies are:
- AVAX – Avalanche
- BNB – Binance Chain
- LINK – Chainlink
- SOL – Solana
- TRX – Tron
- USDC – USDC
- USDT – Tether
This update expands the app's currency coverage and gives stores more flexibility when serving international or digitally focused audiences.
Improved video list organization in Video Background
Video Background now organizes videos from most used to least used, making it easier for merchants to find and manage the videos they work with most often.
This is especially useful for stores with several video backgrounds, as frequently used videos are now easier to identify without having to search through the full list manually.
This improvement also makes the video creation and management flow smoother. Merchants can move through the setup process more naturally when adding or editing videos, with a clearer video list that better reflects how each store actually uses its video content.
