Understanding how your customers interact with your store is key to making informed decisions. We want to provide insights that help you evaluate how social sharing may influence your store activity, which is why we have introduced New Analytics for Keep & Share Your Cart.
This new reporting dashboard provides clear metrics to help you evaluate how the feature is being used and make more informed decisions about your conversion strategy. Instead of guessing, you can now see exactly how many carts are being shared and how many times those shared carts are opened.
Your analytics at a glance
We designed the dashboard to be as intuitive as possible. It gives you a high level look at overall trends while also letting you dive into the specific details of individual cart activity.
Created shared carts and trend view
This chart helps you visualize sharing activity as it happens over time. By tracking daily fluctuations, you can identify which days of the week or which specific marketing campaigns are driving the most sharing intent among your customers. The Total Created metric gives you the sum of all unique sharing events within your selected date range.

Usage analytics and detailed view
If you want to take a deeper dive, the Usage Analytics tab provides a line by line breakdown of every single cart generated. In this view, you can monitor exactly when a cart was created, which specific items are the most popular for sharing, and the number of times a recipient has accessed that specific link.

What we track
The analytics are focused on two primary interaction events that define the customer journey within the app:
- Shared carts created: This metric records every time a customer generates a unique link to share their basket. To keep your data clean, if a customer shares the same cart multiple times, we record it as a single creation event.
- Shared cart clicks: This tracks "intent." A click is recorded the moment a recipient accesses a shared link and the data is successfully retrieved from our servers.
Understanding the data
To provide you with the most useful insights, we have designed the tracking to be resilient and transparent.
Partial Transfers
We believe in tracking customer interest. Even if some items in a shared cart are out of stock or deleted by the time the recipient clicks the link, we still count that as a successful click. This makes sure you see the full scale of engagement, regardless of inventory changes.
Cumulative Insights
Currently, the system tracks the total cumulative volume of clicks per link. This gives you a clear view of the overall usage of your shared carts and helps you identify behavioral trends over time.
A note on accuracy
Like most JavaScript-based tracking tools, external factors such as ad-blockers or "Do Not Track" settings can lead to slight variations in totals. We recommend treating these figures as behavioral indicators rather than exact accounting. The goal is to provide a clear picture of growth and engagement trends.
By monitoring these stats, you can better understand the types of products customers include in shared carts, how often those carts are opened, and how actively your customers are sharing your store with others.
